Three months ago when we last checked up on The Hub, the tower was just passing the midway point to its final floor and making it's way into Calgary's northwest skyline. Flash forward ten weeks later and the tower is now at its final level. Work is underway on the 28 and final floor, with the structure soon topping out.

The 328 unit project, developed by Toronto based Campus Suites has been under construction for just over a year. We saw construction work commence on the building in Sept 2018, and the pace has been steady ever since. A little over a year later the land has transformed from a flat piece of land with drilling rigs, to a 28 storey tower, which is now visible in the skyline from most parts of the city. After the tower is topped out the focus will shift to finishing the exterior, followed work focusing on the interior.

Designed by Ark Inc, the development is the first large scale development in the city's recent initiative to increase density around the Banff Trail LRT station, and leverage the area for Transit Oriented Developments.

Designed with students in mind, it's an ideal location for students, who have only one train stop west to the University of Calgary and two stops east to S.A.I.T. There are also grocery stores and shopping centres within one or two stops in either direction.
