Damn, was hoping this one wouldn't be modernized. Thought it fit well with the 'old' feel of the neighbourhood.

I'm currently travelling outside of Calgary and came across a high rise where the cladding was these pre-fab "brick" panels. I believe the new BMO expansion is using something similar but I'm curious if we've had any high rises in Calgary use this style of paneling? I don't know the cost but I think it looks far better than some of the more recent projects we've had that use a crazy amount of spandrel.

BRB gotta figure out who the supplier for this is. Looks excellent, I guess you could premanufacture walls with windows and a thin brick, i should price this out. What city?

They did something like that on the new Farmers Market in Bowness.

Nice for Architects to have another option at their disposal now that traditional construction techniques are too advanced for laziness and value engineering.

Sadly nothing local. The building was going up in a suburb of London, UK.
I like that pre-fab brick. I don't know what the cost is like, but it looks good IMO.

Those are precast panels with a brick finish. Very nice!
They are pretty common on residential high-rises in eastern Canada but not so much out here. We have some older high-rises built in the 70s and 80s with these but I can't think of anything contemporary.

Just thinking about how good BLVD would look with these materials and type of construction
I was wondering if Blvd had used these panels, and had to go back to the construction pics to check...same for August in U/D.

I believe the Delta Bow Valley is brick faced precast concrete panels but I’m not 100% sure.

The new Jaipur Bridge is now open. I'm underwhelmed by the bridge design but I'm hoping the new plaza that's under construction really helps boost the vibrancy of the area.

I agree. Much like Concord Pacific transformed the land around False Creek in Vancouver.

The rooftop patio here is going to be busy!
I passed by there a few times and wondered about it. Can't wait to try the rooftop patio.
