Somewhat off topic. What do you all think should happen with the Hudson Bay building considering its floor plate size and with the new HBC announcement?
They could definitely play into the history behind Hudson's Bay to create a unique sort of branding for a residential conversion.Ultimately I'd love to see it made into a residential loft, with the outside untouched, expect maybe a bit a of a cleaning freshen up. Maybe an atrium in the centre with some units onto the atrium.
Definitely some opportunity for some synergies between the pedestrian bridges and the green line and now that they're down a major tenant on the east side of that connection you can use that downtime to pivot. While at it, perhaps replace the +15/+30 to the Core with the new elevated Green Line station with concourse at +15 level to connect both the Core and Scotia Centre. Scotia Centre level 3 is already quite dead.
Unfortunately that link doesn't seem to be working for me.Not sure how long this has been available but a visual of all the conversion and incentive driven projects downtown.
It's also nice once you click on a coloured block, it gives a pop up that has the renderings of the completed project.Such a cool 3D map!
