Fair, $$$ is what they are after, whatever mechanism allows CSEC to make more money is where they will go.
Rogers Place has 57 suites and 31 loge boxes. The amount suggests the lower section of the upper bowl will be loge boxes instead of regular seating, unlike what is shown in the interior render.I'm ok with them deleting the LED ribbon, our climate hasn't proved to be kind to LED features outside....
Seems like the number of boxes / suites is way less than what they wanted. The dome has something like 70 and I thought they wanted to at least double that.
I hope the video ribbon doesn't get VE'd, iirc something similar happened under the sloped section of the BMO centerI'm ok with them deleting the LED ribbon, our climate hasn't proved to be kind to LED features outside....

The premium mix is exactly what i expected. I could see the loge tables being in the upper level at the one end, could fairly easily fit 30 in that space alone. This wont be like Rogers place with that loge space that destroys the arenas layout, they have SIGNIFICANTLY more than 31...more like 220+Rogers Place has 57 suites and 31 loge boxes. Rogers Place has specifically 31 loge boxes with 4 tables in each box in the corners and and 6 tables in each box along the sides of the seating bowl.I don't see them cutting the videoboard...as described it's a signature element of the design.

Those are "sections" for the Rogers loge level, for wayfinding purposes. The map below illustrates the individual loge tables or boxes, of which there are many. Scotia Place can't put them in seated space at the bottom of upper bowl, would be an entirely different engineering plan with sightlines accounting for tables. Only 2 NHL areas that ive seen , Edmonton and Columbus, have done them on a dedicated level, most are in the ends and often at the top of a bowl,Rogers Place has specifically 31 loge boxes with 4 tables in each box in the corners and and 6 tables in each box along the sides of the seating bowl.
Interesting then perhaps the loge tables will be at the top of the lower seating bowl and at the in-between of the upper bowl like Little Caesars. Those are "sections" for the Rogers loge level, for wayfinding purposes. I think it's prob relevant though to discuss what "loge" is for the uninformed, because it's different in every NHL arena. It's a catch-all term for a 4-6 person space, not usually private, desk chairs and a ledge or table. PRogers Place has tables, little caesars arena has a ledge with vanity, vegas has desk chairs and a ledge. Different than a "theatre box", which is a 4-6 person private mini suite as part of a larger club, bit more luxurious.

Well theres certainly a club space on suite level at west end…that could be the loge area…but the area above it on the upper level (where the blank space is) also looks like a loge type setup. I cant see any clearly identifiable theatre boxes though, so me thinks the interior bowl is more of a 95% version, which is to be expected at a groundbreaking, still lacking in interior detail.Interesting then perhaps the loge tables will be at the top of the lower seating bowl and at the in-between of the upper bowl like Little Caesars.
Yeah, it even has an unused Scotia Place logo in it (The P is different)me thinks the interior bowl is more of a 95% version, which is to be expected at a groundbreaking, still lacking in interior detail.
following the bills and titans stadium construction...the bills have done a renderings dump every 6 months or so...updated interior/exterior, then concourses and clubs/suites. Need things to keep people excited until it actually rises out of the ground in a year.Yeah, it even has an unused Scotia Place logo in it (The P is different)
God please no.following the bills and titans stadium construction...the bills have done a renderings dump every 6 months or so...updated interior/exterior, then concourses and clubs/suites. Need things to keep people excited until it actually rises out of the ground in a year.
Was up at Rogers Place for their home opener...BLAND BLAND BLAND...very corporate vibe. There's so much they can do in Calgary with the geography, western culture...hoping they capitalize on that, the exterior was a good start
You feel the region's new showpiece entertainment venue, located on stampede trail, next to stampede park, hosting 3-4 stampede shows a year...shouldn't find a way to tastefully integrate and celebrate, amongst many other things, our #1 tourism driver and historical/economic backbone of the city? It's literally a part of us, stop pretending it's not.God please no.
