Yep, 2007 Google Streetview confirms both of those (and that my memory of The Keg being a red brick building was correct too) Thanks for the quick replies, guys!
Hasn't this building been open a while? Was the CRU just sitting empty? Weird they couldn't get tenants with all the high rises nearby.Looks like two park central is getting a lil empire burger and sought and found coffee shop
That was the first Moxie's I ever went to.SE corner of 17 Ave and 13 St SW, I believe. Seems to be Calgary Jewellery now.
This is in the second phase, north towerHasn't this building been open a while? Was the CRU just sitting empty? Weird they couldn't get tenants with all the high rises nearby.
Yup those buildings are all done, IBU looks really good, need to try it soon. Another restaurant opened in the west building, Brioche, a french restaurant from the people behind the popular Avitus wine barLooks like the Bridgeland McDonald's is already open? I think I saw cars in the drive-thru. Curious to know if it's as... alive with street life as others in the inner city.
Also, IBU restaurant is open at 14 St and 29 Ave SW: https://www.certusdevelopments.com/#/2915-14-st-calgary/
IIRC a total of 3 buildings were renovated near there by Certus?
I think it's a drive thru only location or with extremely limited seating. And I hope we don't get long drive through lines that spill onto Memorial.Looks like the Bridgeland McDonald's is already open? I think I saw cars in the drive-thru. You don't hear about cock roaches being much of a problem in Calgary, but it only takes one of the restaurants to get the issue and it spreads quickly top the rest.First Street Market has been shut down due to a cockroach infestation, hope they get it under control soon, I like that
A friend of mine lives in a concrete tower above a pub/restaurant, and pest control for roaches has been a constant thing the whole time he's lived there. You don't hear about cock roaches being much of a problem in Calgary, but it only takes one of the restaurants to get the issue and it spreads quickly top the rest.
