Flames tied an NHL record for most points (96) while missing the playoffs. It just wasn't meant to be.

And to think Minnesota was 20 seconds away from being he team that missed instead.

Parekh and Morton on the board. Small sample size but you can see Parekh’s offensive instinct and touch.

Parekh is going to the world championship apparently, will be a fantastic learning experience for him. Think Weegar is going too.

I'm surprised Andersson is going. Didn't he play with a broken ankle? As much as I like him as a person/player, would like to see him chase a cup. Unlikely we'll be a legit contender during his prime if he stays.

He had a broken fibula from blocking a shot. He played the last 12 games with it, but I'm sure it's mostly healed now and he still has some time. First game is May 9, so I'm sure he will play through more if he has to since the tournament is in Sweden.

It's a tough year feeling like we shouldn't cheer for a US team instead of Canada, but also the Oilers.

Yeah I get that. I'm not cheering for Edmonton or Toronto though, hate both those franchises. Winnipeg is who I'm hoping for, then Ottawa and Montreal (both probably toast already).

I’m going to get flak for this, but I’m pulling for Toronto. I would have pulled for Winnipeg, but I know a few Jets fans and they’ve been obnoxious this season. I can’t do it.

Big fan of the Coronato signing. $6.5M isn't what it use to be. For a guy who will be on your second line for 7 more seasons, that's a good deal.

Think that's a very team friendly deal, surprised Coronato didn't go for a 3-4 year deal instead, see if he can get a raise in future.

Holy crap Jets, can't believe they tied game 7 with 1.6 seconds left on a second 6 on 5. Then they won in double OT! Winnipeg must have been rowdy last night!

This season is likely close to Coro's peak, I'd be surprised if he was more than a 30 goal player. Maybe with better players, and not playing on a defensive line with Backs and Coleman, he gets more. We'll see what the flames look like next season.

30 goals, 60-70 points is my guess for his peak. With the cap going up quite quickly over the next few years, $6.5M for a 60 point player may be a bargain in 5 years.

Leafs fan here as well! But I would also love to see Winnipeg make a deep run, especially after last night’s gutsy win!
