Calgary Flames Official Thread

Think last night was the nail in to coffin. St Louis has won 10 in a row and passed Minnesota, and the wild are 6 points up with only 1 more game played. Great push by the Flames, but they fell just short as expected.
Yeah, I think the dream is officially dead now. After they beat Colorado I had a feeling they might pull this off, but nope.

The playoff spot is still in reach, but they need to win games against teams like Utah.
If the Flames win their next game and the Wild lose their next game, then technically, they can control their own destination, as they have a game against Minnesota on the 11th.

Cool to see Ovi break the record today, and great to see Gretzky in the house for it. Bet Ovi gets 5 more to end the season with 900 goals!

St Louise with a franchise record 12th win, perfect time to get hot and gain some swagger. Whoever plays them in the 1st round is in tough! Currently looks like Dallas, but could be Winnipeg. Minnesota won as well, 6 points up on the flames with 2 less games remaining, still possible for sure.

Technically possible for the Flames to catch up to Minnesota. I'm going to the gamer against them on the 11th, should be exciting. Nice to see the Flames get a point against one of the teams I thought might be a loss. I also thought Dallas might beat Minnesota, Too bad Minnie pulled out the win.

Was weird to watch the Sharks broadcast last night, don't mind their play by play guy either.

So if the Flames beat Anaheim tomorrow, we are 2 points behind Minnesota who we play Friday. The dream is still alive!

Was at the game last night, overall very good. A great effort by the Flames combined with an electric crowd. It's a shame the let the Anaheim game get away from them, as I think they could easily miss out by 1 point.

St louis has games against Seattle and Utah. You have to think those are probably wins for St Louis. Minnesota has Vancouver and Anaheim and Vancouver is one I could see them possibly losing, but I expect they'll they'll win their home game against Anaheim.
