That used to be under the skywalk through Corral and BMO that connected to the Ctrain. No sense putting any money into that area if the Dome is going to be demolished in a few years.

Does anyone know when the Stampede replaced their big entry sign at the south entrance? I guess since the north one doesn't fit with the Stampede Trail plans they decided to replace them both for consistency?

According to the historical imagery on the city website the old signs were over 40 years old and were installed around when the Roundup Centre was built.

The old signs were probably half rotten, but they did look much better, especially given the context.

With all the construction they needed the ability to get high vehicles in and out of the park.

Except the signs only came down after Stampede 2022, there's power lines over the road at the south entrance so they wouldn'tbe using that entrance anyway, and they can use agriculture trail if they need to bring tall vehicles in.

I don't get it. A water drop? Art is in the eye of the beholder but this just doesn't do it for me. And I actually like the Big Blue Ring and Bowfort Towers.
