The final cladding will make this looks very sharp I think. The old warehouse window style will help retain the industrial look.

Totally agreed. I am beginning to think this will actually turn out better than rendered. One of the few.

Windows getting washed and furniture going in.

Who knew this and the new Marriott would turn out as well as they did? Out of all the projects under construction those two were probably least on my radar.

Agreed. It's quite a treat though :)

Interesting stuff going on at the ALT hotel site today and by the looks of it tomorrow. There is a temporary crane on site that is lifting extremely slim sections up to the roof and then sliding them down in between the pods that were installed earlier. These slim sections look like they contain all the plumbing for the building and must somehow connect into the internal plumbing of the pods. Regardless of what people think of the design this project has been extremely interesting watching how they build it.

As luck would have it I'll be downtown tomorrow, and can have my camera with me. I gotta check these things out.

That sounds sooo cool. I'm in. Gotta run some errands after a meeting at the uni anyways.

Gents, I stopped by the site this morning and as bad luck would have it, the last module was already installed. Got a few pics from around EV to post later.

Good thing I have friends in high places ;) The panels outofoffice is referring to are 40' vertical service riser modules. They install from the top and go all the way down to the second floor, and two more are added on top to reach span the floors.
