I do see a very discreet pale green in the renders, but this is just too much. That colour mixed with the dark blue colour seen on the windows in Surreal's 2nd pic ... that just doesn't work well.

Honestly, in some ways I think it's even better than the render. I love all the different shades and patterns throughout the building. Shame they didn't use the same yellow colour throughout, but oh well. Still turned out great.

True that ^. I'm hoping we get some major (700ft+) building announced by the time this one's all done, so we at least have something big to look forward to again.

Potentially nice to hear that the design is different, we have more than our fair share of similarly designed tower pairs as is. Only 12 floors though?! I was expecting closer to 20.

Agreed. Overhead powerlines especially make the street feel so much more aged than it needs to be. Should throw 'em underground and put some trees in their place.

Definitely. Though I must say, I don't love the grey colour you see in the picture above when it's sunny out. Kind of causes the blue windows to appear faded rather than stand out. Still doesn't ruin my love for this building though. Just a minor little thing.

Hey, does anyone know of any volunteer opportunities in construction that don't require a ton of experience? Especially in demolition, been trying to get some extra volunteer hours and it would be fun to rip old buildings apart for the aesthetic betterment of our city haha.

That centre street drive gives a truly fantastic view of DT lol. The 4 tallest buildings clustered together, layered on top of each other like that, just gorgeous. The other really neat view I've found is from the southbound Red C-train line, coming around the corner right after the SAIT...

I actually don't mind it that much. I don't see the "hockey player" comparison they're trying to make - feels like a pretty big stretch - but the bird is nice i guess. O-tac's right though. I've seen far nicer art get treated with a lot less respect.

This could be huge. They're specifically citing a lack of density as a primary reason for this acquisition. Might pave the way for some massive changes. 42 buildings is a lot ... I know most of them are 1-3 stories usually ... but still. Wonder how much it all cost to acquire? Could be great...
