Nearly three months since our last update, and progress at the Redstone excavation site has moved ahead significantly. The pit has blossomed into a full-fledged build site, with heavy machinery and work crews working fast towards the goal of laying the foundations and raising the structure up to grade.

Located in the Beltline, at the corner of 7 St SW and 14 Ave SW, close to both the 8 St SW and 17 Ave SW corridors, the 14-storey, 137-unit Redstone will place nearly 200 residents within the heart of one of Calgary's most popular neighbourhoods. Close to the core, and eminently walkable, Redstone by Amble Ventures and NORR Architects will more than likely be a popular address for years to come.

Featuring a mix of colour-blocked white, grey, and black spandrel, and a slightly above-grade sitting, Redstone will quite literally stand out amid the local landscape. Well-treed and accessible by a series of staircases (and likely some ramps), Redstone will be a handsome (if somewhat monolithic) structure.

Once complete, Redstone will be a fine addition to the Beltline/Lower Mount Royal district.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
