Trico Homes' Kingsland Junction is a project that flew under the radar at SkyriseCalgary the last few months, and during that time the project has been progressing quickly. There was word of construction activity at in August and now recent photos show the first building in phase one is already topped out, with the second building under construction.
For those not familiar with the development, Kingsland Junction is a phased project consisting of a total of five buildings located on Macleod Trail, near Heritage Drive. Three buildings totaling 271 units as well as retail commercial space make up the first phase, with an estimated completion date of the third building in spring 2021 The remaining two buildings are to be built at a later date.
Designed by Calgary based Alvin Reinhard Fritz Architect Inc the purpose built rental project will add 519 new units to the area once complete. The area itself is ripe with amenities, being a stone's throw away from Calgary largest mall, Chinook Centre, and walking distance to the Heritage LRT Station. It also fronts Macleod Trail, Calgary's longest and busiest commercial retail corridor.
SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
