Two months since our last update, and progress at the nArchitects-designed M2 Block in East Village has moved ahead significantly. Built by XYC Design + Development, the the 4-storey mixed-use structure is now almost completely clad.

With much of its exterior paneling now in place, and under wraps, it will not be long now before observers get a closer look at the finished product. Arranged in a distinctive, "layer cake" configuration, the various floors will combine a variety of uses, including retail, office space, and residential.

The first floor will be devoted to retail, the middle two floors to office space, and the top floor will be occupied by a single penthouse suite complete with private rooftop terrace. Located in the heart of East Village, close to the riverfront, and may other local attractions, M2 Block will likely be a popular address for years to come.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
