A month since our last update, and progress at the site of M2 Block in East Village has been moving along swiftly. Cladding has advanced significantly over the last four weeks, with almost all of the exterior glass now mounted to the structure.

Designed by nArchitects for XYC Design + Development, the 4-storey, mixed-use structure in East Village has been arranged in a uniquely stacked, "layer cake" configuration. While the first floor will be dedicated to retail, floors two and three will be leased out as office space, leaving the fourth floor as a single-occupancy luxury suite complete with a private rooftop oasis.

Situated along the banks of the Bow River at 632 Confluence Way SE, the well-located structure will bring a healthy mix of services to the neighbourhood. Combining retail, commercial, and residential into one tidy package, M2 Block will truly have something for everyone.

Set for completion later this year, M2 Block will be a fine addition to the area, the rapidly rising East Village as of yet lacking in office space and retail options.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
