Six weeks since our last update, and progress at Qualex-Landmark's Park Point has seen the final cosmetic touches being completed at the IBI Group-designed 34-storey tower located directly across from Central Memorial Park. Having dispensed with the canary yellow accents left uncovered back in May, the addition of black spandrel and black glazing has provided a much more muted, finished look to the project, which now stands handsomely against the backdrop of the Calgary skyline.

Viewed above and below from Central Memorial Park, the 289-unit high-rise residential tower at the corner of 2 St SW and 12 Ave SW, situated at the far northeastern edge edge of the Beltline, will place its approximately 400 residents within easy striking distance of the many sights and sounds of downtown Calgary.

Described on our Forum as "beefy," Park Point's full-bodied silhouette appears to have well-integrated itself into its surroundings, the view of the tower from the park confirming the project's status as a fine addition to the urban streetscape.

SkyriseCaglary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
