Weather and Gardening Discussion

Just noticed we’ve only had 2 days with lows below average in the last 1.5 months. Only 4 days with lows below 10° since June 29th, and 2 of them were 9.5/6°. No signs of that trend letting up any time soon.

Another ye olde September heat warning incoming 🫠

Wowzers, we just ended the first 1/3 of September with an average high of 27° and a low of nearly 11°. I know we won’t finish off that way but damn that’s so far beyond average. We’ll still likely finish the month around 20°.

20° at 3 am… in late September. This seems wrong 🥲

Rode to work sleeveless today, can't say that happens often in late September. Riding home yes, but not at 8:30am lol. This makes up for our flirt with the freezing mark friday, and also guarantees snow within the next 2 weeks...

I have to confess, I've always used all-weathers and have never changed tires, but people seem to do mid-late October, and as people have mentioned, sometimes the long-term forecast is what decides it.

Is there particular weather forecast that people look at? There were a bunch of articles about that Farmer's Almanac that is pretty much made up, and I know ECCC releases a forecast of the season just before it starts. I have some family visiting for Christmas (for the first time) so would prefer if it isn't -20..
