Seton is a total lost cause. I just try to pretend it doesn't exist
I was down in Seton on the weekend and I was thinking about when the proposed Retail "Design" District might start. My hopes were already limited after they put in a car wash across the road but I was hoping for something a little better than this. I added a screen grab from the Seton marketing flythrough that shows what was supposed to go here.

What was proposed. (Sort of a McKenzie Town High Street vibe?)

On a brighter Seton update note, Red's Diner on Main Street is open and Leopold's Tavern is opening any day now.
The institutional buildings in Seton are top notch. Too bad the rest of the community isn't.I must say that I was pretty impressed with the YMCA/Library in Seton, having gone there for the first time last weekend. Great facility.
If it was in the same term yes. New term, goes down to majority.I recall hearing that they need a 2/3 majority in order to repeal a bylaw, so they might not have the votes and may have to amend rather than repeal.
DP has been submitted by Manu Chugh Architect for a new building on 17th SW, where the Dennys is currently. Developer is Strategic. Overall I quite like it but my one big gripe is they should have done a 2 storey podium IMO.

FYI, they've moved over by Made by Marcus.Looks like this will take out Golden Bell (1112 17 Ave SW) as well.
There is a land use change in the works, with a public hearing on December 16th.
