Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

Are we losing the downtown hostel for an assisted living facility? Not a new development, but changing the hostel use to an assisted living one? While the past year was no doubt very hard on the hospitality sector, I can't see this as being a way to add vibrancy to East Village:
Is it even open anymore? I was working in the east village last week and was wondering about it while waiting for the light to change.
 
Yeah, I think a few heads will explode when redevelopment of the plaza begins. Honestly I hope it forces people to reconsider driving and they walk more.
Sorry for the terrible photo. I was out for a walk this evening and saw that there is signage up for the proposed RNDSQR building that will fill the remainder of the block next to Courtyard 33.

I don't mind that the little building is going. More active frontage on Fourth is a good thing. The Reds building has that, the apartment building does not.
