Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I heard word that the Eau Claire YMCA has been acquired, and there's plans for 'meaningful' changes, both in appearance and function.

Great Gulf bought the site a few years ago and were planning a multi-tower redevelopment. Does this mean they sold it?

I think he means the YMCA in Eau Claire. Great Gulf bought the YWCA, along 5th Ave at MacLeod Trail.

They bought the YWCA on 5 Ave, a full downtown block, in 2015...but an article in the Western investor website reported the purchase in 2016 with a picture of the YMCA in Eau Claire, so people think Great Gulf bought both sites. Great Gulf is working on their development on 4 Ave and McLeod trail and from what I saw in Toronto they bring good product to market so I don't mind the wait.

They bought the YMCA site in Eau Claire as well I'm pretty sure

Really? That would be surprising. I thought they (unfortunately) had given up on the Calgary market, given there has been zero movement on their fully approved two-tower project along 4th Ave, across from the YWCA.
