this renno has been underway for quite a long time, im sure everyones driven by it. the glass half full part of me hopes thats a patio on the second floor but it was a jewelry shop after Home & Away moved and the sign says future home of a jewelry shop. anyhow at least that western portion of 17th is actually seeing some tlc.

Not an update but a question, has anybody here seen precast co Crete used for residential before? A new building going up here in airdrie seems to be an apartment building or something but is being built out of precast and also has no balconies. Project is being built by Eagle Builders.

I thought pre-cast concrete kind of went by the wayside, but maybe there have been some advancements in the technology?

If cost and availability of lumber doesn’t normalize in good time I’d expect we’ll start seeing some projects shift to pre-cast or even lightweight steel systems.
