The podium is absolute shit, no doubt, but is there any idea on how the podium interacts on the sides that don't face 9th Ave? Not that it's an excuse, but I believe from the initial concepts that 9th Ave was getting the hostile treatment since the road isn't urban friendly. Perhaps the other sides of the building won't be as bad? The bar is pretty low that they've set here.

You know, it's a good point. 9th Ave isn't going to get less freeway-feeling, so perhaps the blank face of the podium we see on 9th was intentional to push pedestrian activation towards northern areas of the property.

There’s no pedestrian activity along 9th on the best of days to push.

The only action there is already north-south Beltline to train or Beltline to river.

The form/ shape of the towers is fine, it's all the details that they messed up. Weird random colored panels on the top, giant 2 story mechanical louvre visible from space, lack of advertised glass on top. I would have also preferred a slight height difference between the two instead of two clones...
