The Sentinel | 24m | 6s | Arlington Street | Jackson McCormick

They definitely nailed what it feels like to be a pedestrian at this intersection though.

Ouuu and the breathtaking Toronto skyline which is visible from the intersection of 14 and 17 in Calgary of course 😍

Looks like this design has changed again. I much prefer the white here shown on ASI’a website. The key to this one will be the materials. If they you a nice brick or tile this could turn out better than expected IMO.

Just to clarify, they haven't submitted a new DP or anything. That's the design from the approved DP last summer.

Chinese_T and MichaelS's post from a few pages back show the current proposed look I believe.

This building is bigger than I thought...

A few more renderings of this one that we haven't seen, from ASI's newsletter:

I stand by what I said the only thing they're guarding with this "Sentinel" is the opportunity for this to be an area enhancing development. See: The one at 17th and 4th.

As a community member, I dont care what it looks like - just please develop that corner! The buildings occupying this plot are rapidly deteriorating and it's preventing any investment in the area

Yes, great catch. These are the new renderings alright.

It's ok. Not amazing but not terrible. Though so much better than the original renderings below.

However, both recent designs are poor compared to the original renderings below.

I wish they would build buildings like the brick portion on the right in that old render. Developers need to stop overcomplicating things.
I was thinking the same thing. If they went down to 6 storeys, but with architecture similar to that brick portion from the original design, I think most of us would be fine with this. As is, the choice of colours and materials just isn't working for me for such an important intersection. See Broward for an example of how 6 storey WF can look good. Contextually, this looks like something I'd expect to see in the suburbs.
