The one peoposal i was really hoping would not go ahead. I was still holding out hope that Arlington would miss the development cycle on this particular project and go back to the drawing board with something a lot better a few years down the road. Since that now appears not to be, my hope is that the finished product ends up a lot better than the renderings indicate.
 
I think this interesting. It shows that even when the developer and the public want a big building, sometimes the smaller building makes more sense.

Im actually surprised we don't see more of this in the Beltline itself. So many empty and under utilized parcels that have been that way for decades. Surely it makes more sense to build a 6 storey building than to leave them as parking lots?

Personally, I would like to see a few smaller buildings fill up some if the empty lots in the Beltline, but it might not make financial sense for owners.
