One of us is confused. Spiros is on 17th ave, while the building I'm talking about is in Marda Loop on 33rd ave.

The ugliness I refer to is this:
https://www.google.ca/maps/place/33...6656!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xa758c46a3ba56fd4!6m1!1e1

Although the Phil and Sebastian inside is very nicely done.

I used to live by Spiros for years...and never went in either, ha.

Woops, for some reason I was confused with the building at the corner of 17th and 33rd. It's strikingly similar.

Wow, holy crap Momin. That's for that article. I hadn't realized just how much was going on in Marda Loop these days. I'll have to head down there to see it in person.

Wow, haven't seen that one in a while. First time for me really since the wrapping came off. Looks like it turned out great.

This is how you build a neighbourhood-scaled, pedestrian-oriented office building. Simple and clean but hits all the right elements that matter. I am excited to see how the retail layouts will look.

Not bad at all. Very nice glass for a small project. I'm not digging the stone panels. I wish they also hid the stair tower on the other end of the building. It not's very attractive for the 20th street side.

Hi Group,

I Haven't Been to Marda Loop for a While. Saw the Bldg Under Construction on Sunday. What is Going In? Looks Like Small Offices etc. Am I Correct?

Tnx,
Operater

That turned out fantastic! High quality, not too flashy, and great street presence.

Looks good. I was hoping the glazing would better resemble the rendering, or maybe that there was less glass, but the general design is nice. I love the street level design with those large windows and the open bay, and I like the different terraces. Overall, very solid.

That tree sculpture lights up at night. It creates a nice sense of place at the centre of Marda Loop. The building is a total win for the area. The only downside is a lack of trees along the sidewalk. Not sure if there are plans for those.
