Podium looks good, upper portion in trash. I think I’d rather take a nice podium with mediocre tower than the opposite (West Village).

i dont get why they cant get black door frames to match the windows as the renders show. seems like this happens often. cheap, lazy or both?

By my notes, demolition of the old Chinese food restaurant was completed in August 2018. So probably looking at 55 months to complete a project that was initially scheduled to be 18 months. I'm sure they're value engineering pretty much everything they can at this point.

IMO this is turning out better than the rendering. The only thing I don’t like is the roof trim, or lack of it.

It’s not half bad. I can still remember what it looked like when it was a crumbling parking lot with a rundown Chinese restaurant, covered in pink stucco.

The ped protection scaffolding is down, I think it's pretty good looking! I like the way the yellow pops; enough to make a difference, not enough to be ridiculous.

Put a tree in front of it - it's the Vancouver model of development. Good buildings, ugly buildings doesn't matter - throw some plants in front and it's better

Yeah it actually isn't too bad with the yellow now revealed. Fix up the balconies with glass, hopefully some black roof trim, and overall pretty good! Would have preferred white brick for the upper portion but alas.
