So translates into value engineering? Keep the same budget, but change materials or design to fit said budget? The changes are non-monetary, but that still might mean there are overruns, but within the scope of the agreement.
Ahh good. Had heard they were very close dollar wise. As they removed a section have to think it is CMLC’s involvement. Good thing the Flames didn’t get the traffic control rights they wanted. Hopefully the street front retail remains.Updated my post as there was an additional tweet added

I feel that maybe they were still trying to fit the practice rink in -- shrink the spectator seating from 1,000 at Rogers place to the 300 at little ceasars or even less-- or even dump the concept and the budget would start to look more realistic. (the $550 million approved amount was not an estimate, it was at best a guesstimate-something that any of us could have made).i feel depress
With a project of this scale, I'd expect ~15% over. Pretty standard, but still about $83M.I feel that maybe they were still trying to fit the practice rink in -- shrink the spectator seating from 1,000 at Rogers place to the 300 at little ceasars or even less-- or even dump the concept and the budget would start to look more realistic. The number I heard in April May was $70 million, by last week, $10 million, and now close to $0. Hopefully it turns out fine. With a project of this scale, I'd expect ~15% over. Pretty standard, but still about $83M.

The article heavily implies that the non-financial vote at council on the agreement earlier in the week was the CMLC bit.Where did you see the results of the vote removing CMLC as PM?
I wonder what issue CSEC has with CMLC...
