Much improved with your version SP. While the finished building is definitely unique, I just feel it needs more glazing, with the main facades appearing almost impenetrable now.

Nice Photoshop Surrealplaces, one could also go with black metal mesh or metal rails for balconies, and get the same affect. It's amazing how much better it looks with some simple changes.

Yep, too much metal. I still think a simple balcony change to glass would make a big difference. I attempted to photoshop what it would look like with glass or tinted glass balconies.

What is this building like for thermal insulation???

Probably about the same as any other wood frame building. Looks like insulated 2x6, and no outsulation, so probably an effective R value of 14 or so.

16.9 to 17.5 depending on presence of heat recovery ventilators.

I got a look at this building in the evening light, and IMO, it looked pretty funky.
It really makes me wish they had put glass balcony rails though.

I have beef with the columns in general. I can't bear seeing that retail dug in so far.
