I went past Courtyard on the weekend and I see also that they've planted some trees in front. The green looked good against the silver, and the evening light also looked very good. I'm definitely warming up to the building.

Great option to get some local artists to paint them with different motifs.

I'd rather they just get painted white or a silver / grey to match the cladding. Artist painted columns would reduce the risk of graffiti and tagging though...

the stairs just got safety engineered. its now a staight up stairway with railings. looks like they are putting planters on the stairs outside the railings.

Wow. It’s like they went out of their way to make it look as utilitarian as possible. My biggest fear about this project was that the stairs would end up looking like the piss-soaked entrance to a parking garage and it looks like it came pretty close. It's laughable that the RNDSQR guy was promoting this as "The Spanish Steps".

One can hope that RNDSQR will learn from the mistakes they made on this one when they develop the remainder of the block.

Well that cuts off about half the usable stair space. Just another item on the list that makes me hate this project.
