I had a good look at the north podium side this evening. Love it, and the lighting is nice and the podium in general modern yet vintage feel to it without the faux historical.

I love the podium and think it's a great development. But let's have a moment of silence for the Curtis block:

It's a shame about the old Curtis Block, I wish we had a few more blocks like that still around. This new podium looks good, especially the lighting, bricks and awnings combination.

Yeah the developer didn't want to disassemble the building to move it 5' back, so they demolished the whole thing.
I remember that. It was a standoff between Torode and the city.

Yeah, then Torode nearly went under a year or two later and it sat as another empty lot forever.

The only thing I don't like is the way that the entrances to each CRU is raised. Is that due to the flood plain?
