How much tolerance do project schedules have for delayed cladding? Obviously it would impact inferior work as the building envelope would be behind schedule. Does it impact how far ahead poring floors can get of installing the cladding?Windows have been delayed due to the port of Vancouver. Should be around February now.
Should be tying back and jumping the crane up around the same time.
Never heard of a slab schedule affected due to cladding or window delay. Look at West Village Towers. How much tolerance due project schedules for delayed cladding? Will delay a bit on the interior trades, but we would do as much as we could to keep moving along. It’s likely that the window installer will be pushed really hard to catch up. Already working with the manufacturer to get more shipped asap so we minimize future delays, don’t want a start stop, start stop kinda thing. West coast port delays are crazy right now!How much tolerance do project schedules have for delayed cladding? This city could single handedly tap out global supply on spandrel, hardie reveal and easy trim at this rate.
For real? These companies are looking at moving their factories here.
The manufacturer for the windows on Arris west is in Korea. Many aluminum products are made in south east Asia (access to China, India and Australia) . While it would be nice to have more domestic production I doubt we will have much, Canada is not a large aluminum producer like China, we are less then 10% their production capacity. These companies are looking at moving their factories here.
For real?
