Another hotel in East Village :cool::cool: I'm trying to wrap my head around what the village will look like in 3 years. Verve, Alt Hotel, and Ink still to come. Amazing!

^Totally forgot about that one! All this in a time of a downturn is the most amazing part.

Piles coming along nicely. Being a hotel I would expect they are moving as fast as they can. The sooner the opening, the better!

I'm just anxious about what the exterior materials will be for this building. In the renders it just looks like shitty black and white stucco, but I have heard a rumour that it's brick. If it is is stucco though, I fear this will be the ugliest building in the entire East Village, and will be a stain on the beautiful view of the village from the north side of the Bow River.

I recall driving past and noticing the Alt Hotel near Pearson in Toronto, and I recall it looked solid in person. If they're consistent in the materials used and/or quality of we should have another nice looking building in the EV. Attached are photos of the Montreal and Toronto Alt:

I've seen the one in Toronto and the one in Halifax and they look decent enough. I expect Calgary's will probably be similar.
