Hello all,

Was out today and snapped a few pics of 707 5th. Coming along nicely. They wouldn't let me in the lobby, but had a peak from outside. Apologies for the reflection.

The design of the tower itself is great, but in the end the streetscape will end up with another fairly soulless corporate presence. I wish these projects along these busier corridors would be more engaging.

I doubt we'll see any more office towers (which are the main culprit) for a while. If we're lucky maybe some office towers will get creative and try to add retail at the base.

Your wish is already being granted. BVS is doing a major exterior podium reno bringing store fronts out to the street.

The area that badky needs some sort of streetlife in the office building podiums is the intersection of third Street and third Avenue. That intersection is about his lifeless and Soul sucking as you can get after hours.

Hi Group,

Will there B a "Plus 15" Connecting into any Bldgs. The only One Close is the 645 7th Ave Bldg. The Gvmnt Bldgs across the Street are Out of the Question.

Tnx,
Operater

Yes, a Plus 15 will connect with the buildings to the east, all the way to the Watermark tower I think. It will run through the laneway between the City TV building and the parking lot to the south.

Hi Group,

That Bldg that is Known as the "Watermark Tower" Origionally Was Called TCPL Tower as that is Where they landed When they 1st Arrived in Calgary. They later Flew the Coop to what is or was Known as Petro Cda East Tower. Not Sure if Its been Rebranded to a Different Name as such of hand. In Courier Land it was Always known as the "Highway". There was to B Two Towers Blt but it just Never Happened. All the Internal Infrastructure was Blt
with Two Bldgs in mind. Height? Not sure. The Bldg with the radio stations presently - not sure if it was to come out. The Highway Bldg was Blt in the 80s - a long time ago. The parking lot stays for now till the rest of the Project gets Blt - if it ever happens. Connecting In? That will B interesting.

Tnx,
Operarer.
