I’m expecting, or hoping that this will become a process that evolves to the point where the finished product can look like say a Catalyst or Harmony One. Not brilliant works of architecture, but a case of function over form, but at a passable level.

Increased frequency would help. I don't know what the costs would be for increased frequency, but it's something that could be looked at. Extra security isn't a long term solution, but a bit of money invested into extra security wouldn't hurt. I don't think it would need to be a lot of money...

Increased ridership would help, but it's not something that can happen with the wave of a wand, it takes time to build ridership, and with it's current reputation or public perception that's not going to happen easily. I think the extra security is needed now even if might not be a long term...

Being a regular visitor I can see the appeal of U/D. It's clean, safe and has a nice walkable atmosphere with a lot of good retail options, and even more to come.

True. Anyone who's taken trains on a closed system, will see still see homeless people and what we would call the 'bad element'. One issue is a lot of the bad element are paying users of the system. Personally, I'd rather they spent more on security.

It's going to be nice once all the construction is done, and trees are planted, etc..Nice for the people who have been living beside a construction zone for almost 5 years.

For say $10 million they could hire a lot of security personnel, assuming a cost for wages, and other costs, that could be as high as 90 security personal, which in today's dollars out of $300 million would be 30 years of security. 90 personal, would be one security person per station covering...

The cars on my street had a tinge of frost this morning. Nothing on the trees or flowers, but it was close. Looks lie the next few days warm up again.

I really like this from a cyclist point of view having the wider turns at the offramps near the LRT station. My only gripe and it's minor is the 80ish degree turn on the section over the river. I'd prefer it to be more of a wider turn. That's strictly my cyclist point of view.
