US Politics

Mocking the entire admiralty/command structure of your armed forces, along with their oaths to the constitution, is a really interesting direction for a fascistic wannabe despot to go this early on. Like, he should have at least waited until his eventual Night of the Long Knives moment was closer 🤷🏻‍♂️

Having done that so publicly though, his days are numbered. Good to know it might almost be over.
I can’t picture Trump making it through his term. Either he’ll be assassinated or he’ll die due to health. The other possibility is that they lose badly in the midterms and he gets impeached and they get a super majority and boot them out..

The way things are going, I think its more likely he and the P25 stooges stage a terrorist attack in an attempt to cancel the midterms, and will be removed from office by force. But yes I agree, he wont complete his term for one reason or another.

The midterms happening without outright obstruction by this administration is not a realistic scenario at this point.

I’m thinking the same thing. So much craziness happening, I would be surprised if he finished his term.

P.S. what’s P25?

They're illegally deploying the national guard in Oregon to stop 'terrorist attacks' on ICE, another step in regularizing federal direct control in defiance of law.

Sounds like a judge has shot that down, now the question is what happens next? Does Trump force it through anyway?

Trump is sending the California National Guard in now. It's up to California to stop this, I fully expect they will.

Trump is such a piece of shit, and the republicans seem to just eat up his nonsense, this is insane to watch!

It’s getting closer to a showdown of power. IMO Trump is doing this as a test. If a judge overturns this, but he’s still able to get the military to go into Portland he’ll feel he has control of the military.

That judges house got bombed today. A literal, actual explosion, and the place is dust now. Stephen Miller praised it, and encouraged more people to do it.

The judge that ruled on the national guard deployment is Karin Immergut, who is fine. The fire that happened in South Carolina is under investigation and according to law enforcement, does not appear to be set intentionally, but rather a "domestic accident". Miller was responding to a comment from a NY Congressman saying this is MAGA's fault, which there is currently no evidence, and Miller said it was "“deeply warped and vile” and “libelous madness.”

I have no sympathies for Trump or MAGA but if we complain about trusting science, trusting facts, then we need to follow those principles as well.

Fair enough. Shoulda looked into it more. These days nothing whatsoever would surprise me, so it didnt just sound plausible, but probable. Either way, that's good I guess.
