You think that mock up looks good? One nice hail storm and that stuff will be dented and pot marked in no time!

I never was a fan of the design from the beginning. I thought the slats were to be treated wood which would at least have been a nice touch. I’m not a fan at how heavy and thick that mock up looks. I’ll reserve judgement until it is finished and hopefully eat my words, but I’m going to lower my expectations on this one.

Also hail is rarely as bad in the centre of the city. And they definitely design for hail. When the last storm that took out terminal B at YYC, the much newer international terminal had no issues.

Sometimes you just need to back away from the ledge.
