Here's a another on 17th...

The Aurum office just east of Sovereign has a land use in.
Description
A change is proposed at multiple properties (see map) to allow for:
  • commercial and residential uses in street-oriented buildings with commercial uses required at street level, facing the commercial street [Mixed Use - Active Frontage (MU-2f6.5h58) District];
  • a maximum building height of 58 metres (about 17 storeys);

Coupled with the DP that's pending decision down the block and the approved land use change at Centre and 17th. This section of 17th seems to have some momentum.

There was some discussion in another thread about the Bridgeland McDonald's and whether it had seating. Looks like take out and drive-thru only.

Actually went in and tried it this morning and it was surprisingly busy. Anything we can do to activate that area I think is good.
 
The statues would be perfect at the old planetarium but I’m ok if they just stay put as well.
Be a shame to lose the old CBE building - it’s so unique. Problem is it’s uniqueness makes it hard to re-purpose.
Of course it is owned by a pension fund. I assumed CBE still held it. I guess not.
