The Old Navy space is the one beside Uniqlo I think, which also faces the street. It is odd that they're moving to a corner with mostly clothing. I think Abercrombie will cut the space down though, and take a similar footprint to the Wilfred next door, and the street facing component will be leased to someone else.
Isn't the Old Navy across from Chapters? I haven't been to Chinook in maybe 10 years, I'm a millennial, I haven't updated my wardrobe since I was 25.
Stand corrected, yea I think that's where it is, which doesn't have street level access. It's also tucked in the far corner of the mall. Odd for a drug store that doubles as the cosmetic and convenience store.
With the theatre and bowling it is already open past midnight down there.

I assume this is something that could end up filing a space the size of a sport chek, atmosphere or best buy. Smart to scale it back and be a value proposition. Dollarama has grown their presence and I think there's room for Zellers like they're building.
The new retailer will take over much smaller spaces and be stocked with men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, as well as home goods, luggage and seasonal items, but ditch other Zellers categories like toys and pharmaceuticals.
I think they're looking to undercut Winners/Homesense. they're going for what Superstore and Walmart offer but minus the grocery and pharmacy. If well located I think it could work but location matters. I don't see Zellers working at Chinook but I do see Zellers working at the old Atmosphere in Signal Hill.
