West District | ?m | ?s | Truman

Looks like Truman is now marketing their headquarters project as The Quarters. This is #8 on the map, and the DP is now approved:

This is the elevation we had previously from the DP drawings (which strangely are no longer available online):

They are also showing the next townhome development they are doing in West District, so this will be #13 on the map. Not a lot of details yet, other than location. It looks to be very similar to their Arcola townhomes in Springbank Hill, so the image may just be a place holder. No DP has been submitted yet:

The application brief for Oak & Olive (link is a few posts up) showed a potential layout for these townhomes, not sure if this is accurate:

Here is the updated community map. I have switched to a more plan style map, rather than the rendering, to make it more clear:

Recently University District has been shown to be a success with >25% complete. I passed by West District recently and it seems to be gearing up the same way with only 2 retail buildings completed. It was bustling, even at 9:00 pm, with cars lined down both sides of the street.

There was also an excavator on the site across from the Mondrian—probably prepping to pave Broadcast Ave. down to Mulberry/Newberry.

So the above DP is actually not for Mondrian, but for the Plaza project in the post above. It is directly south of Mondrian, between 83rd and 81st Street on Broadcast Ave. The DP drawings are now posted in the link.

From the DP drawings, it is Lola Architecture, two 9 storey buildings, residential over retail, with heights (including top of mechanical penthouse) of 31.45m.

The back lane will be active with residential units fronting onto it:

Looks great, only thing is i wish they would run the brick all the way to the roofline I think it would've looked more sophisticated.
