Four months since our last update, and progress at PLATFORM has moved ahead significantly. The 6-storey mixed-use development by CMLC, Kasian, and 5468796 Architecture has recently risen well above grade, it to not be long now before the project truly starts to take shape.
Part parking garage, part retail outlet, and part innovation centre, the multi-modal PLATFORM will deliver five levels of parking atop a two-level retail space, the latter to be attached to the aforementioned 50,000 sq. ft. innovation centre. A unique development for East Village, PLATFORM will provide the neighbourhood with a diverse mix of uses, the 500+ parking spaces alone to be a boon to the bustling new district at the edge of downtown.
Developed at a cost of $80 million, PLATFORM will take up a large lot at the corner of 3 St SE and 9 Ave SE in the heart of East Village, close to the area's many shops, restaurants, and other sites of importance. Rising fast, PLATFORM has already begun to take on a large presence, one which will only grow over the next few months.
Well-situated, and set to deliver a diverse host of services to the area, PLATFORM will no doubt be a popular destination for years to come.
