Six weeks since our last update, and progress at Mantra in Marda Loop has moved forward significantly. After topping off earlier this summer, the 4-storey, 33-unit, mid-rise by Castera Properties, Groupe Denux, and Michael Shocrylas Architecture has only further filled out with cladding now underway.
Over the last six weeks, the balconies have been boxed in, more glazing has been installed, and the first instances of dark exterior cladding (far right) have appeared. Set to assume an earthy, two-tone aesthetic, with grey- and wood-grained cladding paired with timber accents, Mantra's mantra appears to be naturally-inspired, the design (below) placing the development in the midst of a small forest.
Located on 21 St SW just south of the 33 Ave SW corridor in Marda Loop, Mantra's future residents will be well-served by transit, shops, restaurants, and other local services. Moving fast due to its timber-frame construction, it will likely not be long before Mantra becomes a permanent fixture within this ever-changing neighbourhood.
SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
