Three months since our last update, and progress at Cidex Group's West Village Towers has moved ahead significantly. Phase One of the project has risen high into the sky, the first and tallest of the three towers on-site fast approaching final height.

Set to rise 150, 125, and 100 metres apiece, the three towers combined will eventually be home to upwards of 800 residents, spread across a total of 554 units. Situated in the Downtown West End, at 11 St SW and 9 Ave SW, the project will place residents within close proximity to Shaw Millennium Park, the banks of the Bow River, and the West Kerby CTrain station.

In its completed form, the development will see the three towers share a common, multi-storey podiunm base, which will be host to a mix of building amenities, retail, and public space. The base of the project will meet the street via a large concrete plaza and terrace, thus serving to integrate the development into its surroundings.

Part of the ongoing urban transformation of the Downtown West End, West Village Towers will bring a great deal of height, density, and pedestrian vibrancy to the district.

SkyriseCalgary will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
