Vertical construction continues to soar high at Park Point since our June update, with developer Qualex-Landmark announcing that work on the 34-storey tower is now 50 percent complete. The milestone coincides with encouraging news from the Calgary Real Estate Board, who recorded a total of 2,119 sales in May, a jump from the 1,904 seen in April.

"Construction began at Park Point in the fall of 2015 and has been progressing on schedule with upwards of 75-100 workers currently on site and hitting every milestone in its advancement into the Calgary skyline," said Parham Mahboubi, vice president, planning and marketing, Qualex-Landmark group.

IBI Group is the architectural firm responsible for the project's strong verticality, emphasized by an enlarging floor plate and yellow spandrel accents. The most recent batch of photos uploaded to our Forum portrays how the multi-coloured facade is playing out, as the pitched roof of the corner podium element takes shape.

Atop this section will be an outdoor amenity space, including a sundeck overlooking Central Memorial Park, and a zen terrace with a water feature and plenty of seating. A fully equipped fitness centre, yoga studio, steam room, and sauna will be located inside the building. The 289-unit tower will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans, with live/work townhomes articulating the streetscape.

"We are thrilled at how smooth construction is accelerating at Park Point thanks to Axiom Builders," said Mohammed Esfahani, president, Qualex-Landmark. "With completion anticipated for summer 2018, we look forward to keeping our promise to homebuyers to deliver yet another iconic and timeless residential condo tower that people will soon call home."
