The National Portrait Gallery was close to taking the space, but that too fell through.
The Flames walked away for sure, but the city's public positions were pretty inflexible as well. Plenty of blame on that one. The path to the deal is pretty clear - waiving the property taxes on the city offer and all the numbers work.Yeah I think the Flames have realized they were the sticking point and are negotiating behind closed doors with the city. Nothing to support this aside from the progress in the area and the new CRL.

I think it will come some day, but unfortunately not anytime right away.It breaks my heart every time I see that picture. That whole stretch of 7th ave has so much potential.
Is it there? Don't they still have a few major condo, commercial and house developments left? I hope you're right!Well fingers crossed something legit is happening there. That site is massive. Remington is the owner right? Who knows, quarry park is about wrapped up so they could be moving back to this site.
Remington doesn't do a lot of residential, and the stuff they've done is kind of ..... well, not very good. I hope they are planning to do a master plan of the parcel and let another developer do the residential part.Sign for Railtown land use (south of the tracks) is up. Very big site, and they’re seeking a lot of density.
A permit application was recently made by Norr Architect for 104 unit MF development at 200 Pinta Gardens NE. This is near the CNIB facility in Bridgeland. Anyone know what this is?
