Less exciting than the downtown arena but the new arena going in beside the Stu Peppard arena in the Glenmore Athletic Park is starting to take shape.

This story doesn't make any sense to me. That the land owner is faking like he doesn't know one of his companies is illegally dumping on site? And the fact the city has zero enforcement capability is shocking.

I think this is exciting! I can't wait to have a second rink in the immediate neighbourhood! Would love for the City to take on improving/replacing the pool next.

I think they just finished Glenmore as part of the electrical repair program at all the pools.

While we were closed, we also took the opportunity to make some other welcome improvements to the facility:
- Upgraded electrical systems
- New energy-efficient LED lighting
- Improved water treatment and chlorination systems
- Replaced old boilers
- Installed a new fire alarm system
- Upgraded emergency lighting
- Built a new outdoor chemical storage building
- Repainted the pool area
- Added digital display screens (TVs) throughout the facility

One of the arena's looks to have a pretty decent capacity. I assume it will become home to the Royals. The building is much bigger than I thought it would be.

would be interesting to see how well Farkas does with this. I lived in Toronto and while people all knew about Rob Fords’s crack, he was popular because he’d tackle these nuts and bolts problems.
Like him or hate him, Farkas seems like a guy who will go after something, so here's hoping.
