So, that area has a a lot of recent land reorganization, almost all of the parcels were touched in 2017 or 2018. Someone who wants to invest some money can check whether it is CMLC or Remington. IBI was one of the original consultants on Remington's railtown. Interestingly, it looks like the province has given up its high speed rail station land at 4th St SE.

I pulled historical title. The most recent change in the past 3 years was a Sept 9 2018 discharge of a mortgage and caveat from March 2015. Still lists Remington as the current owner.

This was the proposed 'Railtown' site by Remington Developments which I assume had already been zoned for residential or mixed use. Since neither the Olympics or the Entertainment District proposal has been approved, it seems premature that there would be any land use changes. Doesn't it??

Wouldn't land use would be the first step towards the Olympics or Entertainment District approval if either doesn't work with the current land use? I could see them wanting to build a lot more density than either of the previous proposals.

They should go one more step and paint that brick.

Oh yeah totally. Right now it looks like its stuck in two time periods and not really accomplishing either. It might have been a bit too much of today's fashion if they had gone with black paneling around the windows and white painted brick, but it would have been pretty sharp. Pretty much any colour would look better than the ~30ish year old red brick with the modern windows though. I'm not digging the silver & red ocher colour combo.

Not sure but this could be the beginnings of Strategic's conversion of the Barron Building to residential.
