I despise that little apartment….rip er’ down!
The DP is approved and would likely still be active, no BP yet as far as I know.Have the plans for tower 3 been approved? Are they keeping that loading area/road between Tower 1&2 and Tower 3? Seems like a missed opportunity for a courtyard/greenspace.
I wonder if there's more nice brick hiding under the crappy aluminum siding. The 8th Ave side is better and has the small details I was referring to.
The brick is definitely better than the crappy metal. Would still prefer it get demolished and soon! The 8th Ave side is better and has the small details I was referring to.
Long time lurker, first time posting.
Loblaws is planning to lease out the retail portion of the podium. Everyone loves to hate this podium, but I don't think it's so bad from an urban design point of view. A line of trees separates the sidewalk from the roadway. If the city was ambitious and built a cycle track on the north side of 9th ave, from 11th street to Macloed trail, then it would be a half-decent sidewalk to walk on.

Good on Red Star giving us the scoop back at the beginning of this year on this.I believe that it's going to be a No Frills. Loblaws was also eyeing the retail space at the new building on the corner of 10th ave and 14th street, but they didn't sign the lease.
