Hopefully those trees along 9th grow nice and tall. Based on the city's track record of dead trees on public roads I have little faith though. Imagine that podium only with dead trees.

Maybe we as forum members gotta drop in once in a while and water them. Do our part in saving this from becoming an absolute dump.

The City forces developers to sign perpetual maintenance agreements if they select trees that are not City spec. This additional risk leads to most developers sticking with the Charlie Brown special. Unfortunately, the City cares more about pinching pennys than the urban tree canopy. If they would allow developers to install Silva Cells, that actually allow trees to grow roots, we might have a better streetscape.

We haven't heard anything but the consensus was that with the Hat on 14th street starting, there probably wouldn't be anything for the third tower right away.
