I just wish those red blocks were the same white stone as the rest of the building. The red is so distracting.

Agreed. I thought the red blocks were maybe there to represent Canadian Tire's colours.

Nope! It's not even our shade of red! (Plus we don't use red on the exterior of our buildings anymore. It's black and grey's now)
