It was bought by the Calgary Board of Education a while ago, but was heavily damaged in the flood of 2013, and is now sitting empty. Plans to redevelop it are underway. Here is an article on it:

It'll be nice to see that parcel redeveloped also. Another win for East Village.

Hi Group,
I See that Bldg that was a Homeless Shelter in the Background etc. What is the Status on It now? I believe the Property was own by the School Board but has since been Sold. If so what is going In - if anything? As I see it, Prime Dvlpmt Opportunity!

There is something planned for it, iirc the building is getting demolished and a new affordable housing is getting built.

The School Board still owns it I believe. Got zoning back in October, no DP in yet though for the design:
