A bit off topic but is anyone else disappointed with the new “pocket plaza” where the old right turn lane from 5th to 17th was? It was shown with planters and seating in the early designs for the 17th Avenue overhaul and all we got was a massive concrete pad and a couple sad looking street trees.

Correction. It is an ASI project, should be 'on the possibility that Fifth might get constructed'

I prefer the concrete area that slims the crossing to the pork chop design before, but agree it needs some love.

Arlington St. have appointed someone to figure out the mess of The Windsor, so they can get started on The 5th. They have a lot of 'badwill' with contractors and trades to overcome.

If anyone happens to walk past the site I'd be curious to see who the construction company is. It's usually written on the Orange sign that construction sites have.

They have a building permit, and supposedly are planning to build. I tried contacting ASI (a couple of different people and a general e-mail), but haven't heard back from them. We'll see if they respond.

They probably think you're someone they owe money to.

Any idea why they are hauling fill in to where the building used to be?

If they are going to be drilling, they generally try to make the area flat for the drilling rigs. It's easier for the drilling drew if the ground is reasonable level.
